We provide behavioral solutions across Shasta, Tehama, Butte and Humboldt Counties. We offer tailored services such as behavioral training, community resource introductions, and crisis stabilization. Using evidence-based approaches, we empower caregivers and enhance the lives of those with developmental disabilities. Our commitment extends to ensuring safety, promoting sustainable change, and improving the quality of life for clients and their families.
Advanced Crisis Behavioral Services
For Families
Families explore ACS services through Regional Center authorization, insurance-based services, physician referral, or private pay, depending on individual eligibility and program requirements.
If your child is affiliated with a Regional Center, a helpful first step may be speaking with your service coordinator to understand available behavioral supports and referral options. If you’re exploring insurance-funded services, a referral or eligibility review may be required prior to service consideration. Once a referral is received, ACS works with families to answer questions, review eligibility, and explain available pathways, including what next steps may look like and how timelines are determined. This approach is designed to help families feel informed and supported as they consider options.
If you’re unsure where to begin, learning more about the process can help clarify what services may be appropriate. Learn More →
For Regional Centers
ACS partners with Regional Centers to provide behavioral crisis stabilization, behavior training, transitional services, and related behavioral supports, in alignment with program requirements and authorization standards.
Upon receipt of a referral, ACS conducts program-specific screening, coordinates required assessments, and maintains clear communication regarding service appropriateness, timelines, and next steps. Services may be provided as standalone supports or, when permitted, coordinated alongside other funding sources in accordance with payer-of-last-resort requirements.
We value collaboration and transparency and aim to make the referral and coordination process as clear and efficient as possible. Learn More →
